“Love Has Never Been…” is a multidisciplinary exploration of freedom—through the convergence of body, voice, and space. Inspired by James Baldwin’s time in Istanbul during the 1960s, the project invites audiences to reflect on identity, belonging, and human complexity through a layered journey of performance, open rehearsal, and workshop.

Part of the XTOPIA Immersive Journey, the project was conceived by the AA Interprofessional Studio (AAIS), based at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. AAIS is a postgraduate program offering an MA or MFA in Spatial Performance and Design, where students create transformative experiences that challenge the boundaries between art, performance, and design.

“Love Has Never Been…” is not merely a performance—it is a collective act of inquiry. It opens space for movement, for encounter, for becoming. It asks: Is freedom a right that is given, or a space that must be claimed?

Netizens turns toward Web 3.0, examining how blockchain, artificial intelligence, and decentralized technologies are reimagining our digital future. While these tools promise empowerment and innovation, they also raise critical questions about control, identity, and the cost of seamlessness.

Netizens is both a tribute and a provocation—honoring the pioneers of the early web while inviting us to reflect on digital citizenship today. What do we carry forward, what do we leave behind, and who gets to shape the internet we’re building now?
